Jeff Hardy and TNA: What Were You Thinking?

While the World Wrestling Entertainment(WWE) is making news and grabbing headlines by bringing superstars The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin back for its Wrestlemania pay-per-view, Total Nonstop Action (TNA) decided to go a different route to grab some news.

By now I am sure that everybody has heard or read about what happened at TNA's Victory Road pay-per-view. In case you haven't: In the main event Sting was defending the TNA World Title against Jeff Hardy. Two of the biggest stars of the company, going after the biggest prize of the company.

The match lasted a whole minute and twenty-eight seconds. Why? Well the answer is simple. Jeff Hardy was too high on drugs to wrestle. I feel bad for Sting, a hall of fame wrestler, his reputation takes a hit. As the pay-per-view was going off the air the whole crowd was chanting "This is Bull****" And Sting stands on the ramp saying "I Agree!"

It is easy to blame Jeff Hardy for what happened that night, and he should get the most blame, but he is not the only one to receive the blame. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff should get the blame as well.

They were brought in to this company because they were suppose to know what it took to compete with the WWE. Do you think having a main event match really puts you up in the same league as the WWE. Bischoff came down to the ring to waste time by coming up with a story. What is wrong with respecting your fans and tell them the truth that Hardy is too drugged up to wrestle and that you are firing him. Because Jeff Hardy should never be allowed to step into another wrestling ring again.

Well then the question arises: Who do you put into the match? There were many possibilities. How about the MotorCity Machine Guns. Two of your best wrestlers on the roster have been left off the past two pay-per-views since losing the tag team belts. All you have had to do was come out tell the truth that Hardy wasn't able to wrestle tonight. Have Sting issue an open challenge to the boys in the back.

Matt Morgan is a perfect choice. He should be wrestling for the title. He wrestled earlier in the evening, but the guy is in great shape and I am sure if you asked him if you want to go out and have a match with Sting for the title he is going to say, HELL YEAH. Coming out having a match with Sting, even if he loses, could only help his career.

Robert Roode is another good choice. While he is still tag team champions with James Storm, BeerMoney, he is a talent that is screaming to be a singles star. Granted that the tag team division is the one of the things that is stronger in TNA than it is in WWE, and you don't want to screw up a good thing, but still it would have been a better match.

Samoa Joe. Joe didn't even have a match on the pay-per-view. What has happened to this guy. He was a beast early on in TNA and then ever since his feud with Kurt Angle he has gone down hill. What they need to do is go back to the Joe that didn't care if he killed someone. Go back to the Joe that wanted to hurt someone. They had a great thing with this guy and blew it.

The Pope and Jay Lethal are two more names they could have picked. They had possibilities and just didn't choose one. Hogan and Bischoff are ruining this company. AJ Styles one of the top stars, and perhaps one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and they have him feuding with Matt Hardy and Bully Ray. They are not using their talent to their full capability. They have so much talent. They can be competitive to the WWE, but not until they get rid of the garbage, aka Hogan and Bischoff.
